On a mad hunt to finally start my career post-graduation, I have been spending a huge chunk of my time recently applying for full time positions. For fun, I applied for a fashion internship at Brisbane Fashion Month which was created by Carly Vidal-Wallace and is presented by Fashion Hub Queensland.
I was lucky enough to be selected for this internship, and got to meet with Carly Vidal-Wallace last week, along with another girl who was unable to attend the first team meeting the previous week due to work. We discussed the focus of the internship, and the kinds of things we expect to get out of working for Brisbane Fashion Month. Basically, we can work as much or as little as we like, making it super easy to combine this internship with full time work. I said that I would like to focus on press releases/public relations stuff, marketing, blogging, writing, web design and events. This should be a lot of fun and I look forward to posting more of my experiences this year for BFM.
Carly took a few pictures of us on the day.
